Save Instagram photos at full resolution, not screenshot quality
The instinct is to screenshot, and it is almost always the wrong call. A screenshot bakes in your screen resolution, any visible interface, and a second compression pass. On a phone you often end up with a smaller, softer image than the one you were looking at.
Downloading pulls the actual stored JPG. On a modern upload that is a clean 1080-pixel image with no borders and no interface — the file itself, not a picture of your screen.
- Clean JPG with no interface chrome
- Largest resolution Instagram retained
